I'm moving out from my apartment and was looking for new renter of my apartment. Since I'm moving out of country, I'm going to leave all of furniture, kitchen stuff etc and I was going to throw Towel, bed sheets, pillow cover as garvages but the new renter guy said he can use it after he washed.

Can you use strangers bed sheeds, towel, pillow cover after you washed them?

It's up to him, if he doesn't mind, let him have them. It's better to not waste. He said he'll wash them, so let him have them. It saves him money, plus your things may be high quality, so it is a treat for him that he otherwise would not have. You're doing a very kind thing!

I do not think he is strange. There have been many instances I am sure, that you have slept on other peoples linens. Try for instance:

Sleep overs when you were young
Motels & Hotels
Relatives Homes
Friends Homes
Mother may have bought used linens
Also may have been given used Linens

There is absolutely nothing wrong with it as long as it is washed in hot water. Now if he was wanting you to leave your undies, then I would be a little worried! LOL

I've seen tonnes of rental listings in my area (university) that include all linens.
As other people have said, do you think hotels use brand-new linens with every guest?
All of my sheets come from the thrift store--just wash them in really hot water before you use them and they're fine. Do you have any idea how much nice sheets and towels cost brand-new?
You were going to trash all your linens? Wow, someone needs to start respecting the environment and those less fortunate. Please stop being wasteful and either let your tenant use your linens, or if you're still creeped-out by this for some reason, then please donate them to goodwill.

Strange? Well, have you ever stayed in a hotel/motel before? They don't use new sheets and towels every time. They're someone else previously used, just washed sheets and towels.

When you go to a hotel/motel, you don't honestly think that you are the first one to sleep on those sheets, pillow cases, etc.,do you? Some people even steal the stuff and take it home.

Not at all strange. You do go to hotels don't you? You are using items washed after strangers use them.

Like the rest of your answers, no he isn't strange. Maybe it just sounds like you haven't washed all these things before, for your own personal use. Sorry if it sounds like an insult, but just about anything one person uses should reasonably be reused /recycled. (Except underwear!!!)

Of course, have you ever gone to the Good Will store or any of the other places that sell used things?? Recycling good stuff is what it is all about.

I wouldn't use them. But, I'm sure if he uses bleach it would be okay. I think it's more of a thing that sounds bad than actually is bad. Think in hotels and hospitals you're getting someone else's sheets. They use hot water and bleach to sanitize them.
