Your guppy may still drop more fry. Keep on the lookout. Also, they can store sperms for months on end... One of my guppies has been dropping 10-15 fry every 1-2 mths, despite mating half a year ago. At present, there are no males in the tank, and I'm still catching newborn fry.

If you keep the fry in the hatchery/trap for about 1 or 2 months, they will be far too big to be eaten by the adults and you can release them into the tank. However, they will face food competition and grow much slower.

Even better, keep them in the hatchery/trap until around 3 months old... If you only have two, they should have plenty of space.

Watch out... your guppy population may explode. I went from 3 guppies to well over a hundred in a span of six months, despite separating the males and females. And I still have pregnant females.

Guppies are pregnant for an average of 28 days, but that can easily be off by a week in either direction and still be considered normal. You should keep the fry in the breeding trap until they are too large to be eaten by the other fish in your tank. That could be as little as 3-4 weeks or could be 3 months, it depends on growth rate and what other fish you have in the tank.

Do keep on the watch for additional babies, they can take up to 24 hours to deliver all of the fry.

Females are pregnant until they give birth. After the female give birth to all of the fry, net her out and put her back into the regular tank. Leave the fry in the hatchery/trap/birthing tank until they are big enough so that they can't fit into the mother's mouth.

Female guppies normally go for about a month between broods. If you REALLY want to breed them get a second tand tank, and move ONLY guppies into it (maybe a corydoras or a couple of kuhlis as well, but no possible predators.)
.Most of the babies will then survive. Hatchery/traps etc are only for short term use... afew days at most.

sure, initially, in case you think of that she is going to grant start each time quickly, TAKE THE MALE OUT!!!! the male will consume the toddlers appropriate away, you particularly desire to take him out, i could placed multiple synthetic vegetation in the backside that are very small and intensely sturdy for the babie guppys to cover in, the mum additionally will finally end up eating the toddlers if she gets to them. there particularly isnt lots which you're able to do to assist her sense much less under pressure. Over a pair of days, then she could provide start, as quickly as you comprehend that she has givien start to all the toddlers, verify to take her out as quickly as attainable. then pass away the toddler guppies on my own untill they are sufficiently massive to pass to a time-honored tank ( approximately 4-six months) you're able to get a definite dropper nutrition on the puppy keep for toddler fish, because of the fact thier nonetheless too small to consume flake nutrition, they consume a liquid drop, purely provide it too them two times an afternoon on good of the water, they are going to scent and consume it. Im not so specific on if thier going to be complete Fancy or not. you won't have the ability to flow the toddlers to a various tank with a internet because of the fact they are so small, they are going to could stay in the breeder tank for a whilst. sturdy success!!!!!!!! P.S. in case you pass away the two mom or Dad in the tank, you will finally end up with 0 0! Guppies. The guppies would be nice devoid of the mum and dad.
