Stop being so protective of the offense in general. Heck we might as well play Flag Football at the rate it is going because soon everything will be too rough if it is a DEFENDER. The same hit would probably be legal if the guy was on offense. Although I think Warrior is getting a little TOO extreme. i say let them tackle the QB. Not get rid of roughing the passer, but do more like hockey and use a two step rule. If you take more then 2 steps or so then AFTER the throw it is roughing the passer. Not sure what a fair amount to expect them to move or stop so that can be adjusted. I'm fine with the slide under two conditions. They are down WHERE they start the slide AND same two step type rule is applied. If the guy slides into you and hit that is HIS fault and HIS problem. If you are going at him and he starts the slide to avoid it then once again HIS problem. None of this oh he started to slide you can't touch him idea.

Add: OT is NOT decided by a coin toss. I am sick of the stat about X% of the time the team that wins the coin toss wins the game. Yeah and like 30% the team wins on the OPENING POSSESSION. That means only like 30% of the time is the game decided by the coin toss.

Theres sooooo many but i'd have to say the one that bothers me the most is roughing the QB. THere just like any other player why do they get special attention

My number two thing i'd LOVE for them to change is the new rules they made about the touchdown dances. I LOVED watching the TD dances but they took em out, and now its sooo much more boring. I still love watching the game, but the dances were a great part of it

The NFL has been pretty perfect the last 10-15 years.
One thing that needs to be adressed is the length of the preseason schedule. I've seen to many stars in the past 5 years miss to much of the regular seaon due to preseason injuries. There are 4 preseason games now. It should be 2. If people are goiing to get hurt.....and they will, it should be during the regular season.

Pass interferance. Man is that sooooo anoying. It needs to be reviewable. It has messed up so many teams' chances of winning a game when a ref makes a bogus interferance call. An example is when Ellis Hobbs of the Patriots was defending Reggie Wayne in the End Zone and was called for PI, Ellis never touched the guy, he just jumped in front of him and the refs came out 2 days later and apoligized for making the wrong call. That cost the Pats the game and they would have gone to win Super Bowl 42.

Since you didn't specify between NCAA and NFL football, I will list the most important things to change for each..

1. NCAA Football: Install a playoff. nuff said.
2. NFL: use the NCAA rule for inbounds. If you are down because one knee hits ground, you should be inbounds with only one foot too. Just be consistent, thats all. If one knee = down, one foot = inbounds.

OT rules. Between the college and pro's I prefer the college way of deciding a tie game. I think the best way to decide a tie game is to play another full quarter. Considering something like 75% of OT games are won by the team winning the coin toss it doesn't seem right to end a good hard fought game based on the flip of the coin.

More games on TV on Sunday. On the West Coast we get like 2 games at 10am and half of the time they both suck. Then our team plays at 1pm and thats the only game we get to see. Then sometimes theres a night game and sometimes theres not. We should get at least 4 games to choose from for each of the day games. Then make sure theres a night game EVERY sunday night.

Some rules with the QB. No tic-e-tack fouls. If I just touch the QB then there is a penalty. A late hit on the QB after he releases the ball, ok I can see a penalty.

OT hands down it is basically who ever wins the toss wins the game just march down to the 35 and kick a feild goal. they should do the same way as college match the other team

I would try to reline the divisions geographically! Teams in the east are in the same division, teams in the west in the west division, etc! And if I cant have that done,I would like too see the Cowboys play in pink uniforms!
