Service manual suggests replacing the Cabin Air Filter on my car but there is no reference to where the Cabin Air Filter is located on this car or the procedure to replace it and don't want to pay someone 20+ bucks for what is probably a 5 minute job.

I've read on the net that most of these filters are located behind the glove box or in the engine compartment on the passenger's side, but I don't just want to start tearing into stuff without having a decent idea of where it is located and the procedure for replacement. Anyone have detailed instructions for replacing the cabin air filter on this car? And ... does anyone know anyplace on the net where you can read and print sections of the service manual for this car and others for free or almost free? Thanks very much!

Stop by your local GM dealer and ask to speak with the service rep. Explain your quandry and tell him you will buy the filter from him IF he will xerox the replacement procedure from their service manual. If he won't try a few other dealers - you will find one who will help you.

Try Autozone's Z-net. And if it's not in there yell at the parts salesmen because you saw the TV ad that said it would show you how to fix anything on your car. And walk out mad...then drive away laughing. Also all filters are 25percent off at Advance Auto this month.

I'll make the same suggestion I do to everyone, pick up the "Haynes Chillton" manual (about $20) for your model. It will explain all.
