The OxyClean stuff works really well... get the tub for about 5 bucks and you've got enough to put some in every load of laundry for months. Works great if you mix with water and you can put it on spots on your cloths furniture or carpet and it works great. In my old place it had almost white carpet (brilliant for a rental place right) well i used the oxy clean to spot clean the carpet... 3 years later it still looked new even though meany a thing had been spilled on it including my husband dropping a bowl of speghetti on it... great stuff i tell ya.

Best stain remover I've found is Shout concentrated gel (it's in a small white bottle and has a orange stain lifter brush attached). Squeeze a little on the stain, and work it in with the brush. Let set for 5-10 mins and wash. Works great.

It depends on the stain and how long it's been on your clothes. If it's fresh, it's a lot easier to remove than if it's been sitting on your clothes for several days or has been washed and dried on.
If it's a fresh stain, you can try spot lifters like the Tide to Go pen or simply by spraying on stain removers and letting them sit on your clothes for a few minutes before you launder.
Basically, we'd need to know more info as to what kind of stain you have so we can give you more info on what to do to remove it.
