Pakistan was more eager and passionate so they won. They are more focused. They done well congrats.
Here are some facts, which many of you don't know, don't ask me how i know.
Three days before the Sri lankan teams tour, world cup team some players were still partying.
For Maling, he put more weight before the tour. I don't think he was even match fit in the first place.
Coach Moody came back few days before the tour from Aus.
No body worry much about this tour because some don't know that Sri lanka get marginally higher participating fee than Pakistan which is far beyond a normal tour. (Everybody likes money.) Idea for the SLC is to participate a team. Even most of the players were not fit or focused enough to tour.
Chairman of selectors looking forward for the future of sri lankan cricket till end of this year. You may see one or two more face unknown to the rest of the world before end of this year.
sri lankan best team is suppose to tor Australia end of this year, Murali also may travel. So this is it.

I think the lions were sort of over confident about this game, which is always the cause of a team's down fall in a single game. Yes they performed very well in WC (actually when India and pakistan were out of WC I was hoping the lions would bring it home) but I think their batting line up failed in a sense that even on batting wicket they didn't put up a decent score. Yes their main bowlers were not there, but the lions knew it too and they should have played with more responsibility.

This is Pakistan's speciality that you can't predict what would they be on the next day ! and secondly i think this is not a "rule" that if a team could not perform well in world cup, should not play good at all even after....! there are some positive changes made in this team and also after that pathetic performance in the WC, they had to do something...!this series is for important for Pakistan, not for srilanka and Srilanka is not playing it that seriousy !! secndly they didn't bring their best bowlers but their best batsmen are there and this pitch is actualy working for batsmen more !! so i don't agree with this idea that Pakistan is winning becuase Srilankan's are not paying with their full team !!

tino67 ! would you please get over with this "religion " thing.it had nothing to do with their defeat ! even India could not perform well in WC, what religion caused that all??

It just depends how well a team performs against its opponents on a given day.Pakistan commited less mistakes and because of that ,they deservingly won the series.May be the presence of murali and vaas would have made a difference but that's the part of the game.Credit goes to pakistani team for their performance against lankans.

That is why cricket is termed as a game of uncertainties. It was another pathetic performance by Sri Lanka and better performance was expected from a team who is runner up of the recently concluded cricket world cup.

I agree with Roshni. There is no rule that if a team doesnt do well in the World Cup, they have to do bad otherwise, too.
Pakistan can be different each day- they are unpredictable.

cricket is a game of certainties and one can't predict the winner of any game. May be srilanka rested all their key players so they are losing. or pakistan team are looking foccused to win.
