Before moving into this house, I have NEVER experienced so many spiders indoors. When warm weather arrives, it seems like I get on average of a spider every other day to every day. I have even seen HUGE (nearly 2") spiders that freak me out. Plus, for the past few years, hundreds of spiderlings show up on my bedroom ceilings during the night in the Summer...I then end up having to vacuum the ceiling and all of my items since the baby spiders get all over the place. I'm losing sleep because I don't want them hatching when I'm sleeping...the thought just creeps me out. I have never found a nest in my bedrooms. Why do hundreds of spiderlings suddenly show up on my bedroom ceilings? Anyway, I get all of this spider activity even though Terminex has sprayed on the outside of my house and in my basement almost monthly. I have not noticed any other insects that spiders could be attracted to other than an occasional centipede, cricket, or earwig...ewwww! I fear spiders, so I'm at my wit's end.

Don't know that I have an answer, but do you have a large tree that has branches touching your roof? If so, your answer is to cut back the tree and keep Terminex killing those already in the attic, etc. Many people don't realize what all can enter their homes when they let branches get close to or on their roofs. Also good source for mice, roaches, ants, etc.

Big spiders (tyrantulas and bird eating spiders) eat other insects (they love crickets). But hopefully this is not the type of spiders you have.... (if it is they are worth a bit consider catching and selling them!) I had a pet spider once, I found that she attracted the pest spiders to that part of the house where she was kept (in a teranium!) Maybe you could lure them and then try spraying. Spiders are generanly not very tollerant of these sprays, chances are they dont live in your house, they're just regular visitors!

My apartment is the same way with ants. Warm weather moves in and so do they. I've had great luck with X-tra strength Raid bombs. You just set a few around your place (don't use too many, its a fire hazard) and set them off. Leave for four hours, come back and open up all the windows and doors and leave for another half an hour while your place airs out. It works great and gets into all the little crevices and everywhere. But you have to do it every two months or so. Good luck! To find at the store they come in little boxes with three orange bombs.

=)) That's it? Do you live in a desert area? Really, that's not bad .Some spiders can travel by using their silk like a parachute, to float in the wind. No matter how much you spray(& what's that do to you, btw?) , new ones can always float in .

You need to respray. Are the spiders yellow? If so.... they are tree spiders and you need to have your trees sprayed. They come in and pretty much crawl around on the ceiling . They are quite harmless.

bring one or two praying mantis into the house. They are aggressive hunters and a lil creepy themselves as they may actually attempt to attack you (they can't hurt you), but they are concidered good luck and they will eat ALL bugs in your house.
