I'm happy for both of them, but they're very different cases. Lynch is certainly dredging up very strange stuff from within himself, while Tarantino is making movies that are homage to other movies. And while strange, neither one is particularly psychopathic. In Lynch's films, evil people meet evil ends: your basic morality play. And Tarantino makes movies with themes such as redemption (Pulp Fiction) and motherly love (Kill Bill).
