maybe.....eventually......but i don't think it will be convenient. to stay alive, we might need oxygen masks and oxygen cylinders slung over our shoulders all the time. we would have to wear heavy space suits that would balance the pressure our bodies are used to otherwise we could be crushed by the imbalance in pressure on the other planet. we would have to wear polaroid visers all the time because the lack of atmosphere would allow all the harmful radiation of the sun to reach us. we would have to carry pure water that would be pumped to our body via tubes (because we can't take our masks off).
the list goes on....

I'm assuming you really mean an interstellar expansion? Mars is survivable with the right technology, but much less so than the MOST hostile earth environment. Eventually is a long time if humans are around here for "eventually". I think you could construct a Drake-like equation of probabilities to estimate that probability. One thing that would really help, on which there is not even a theoretical basis to proceed, is to be able to travel faster than light.

Assuming humans don't kill themselves first, then it's a good chance. It will take a very long time at our current rate, however, because the market for space travel is slow, and the United States government (the only super power currently capable of a large-scale space program) wants to spend its money elsewhere right now. Given enough time, things will eventually change like they always have. The space program got a major boost from the arms race, and I hope something will come along and pick things back up.

It will probably happen on Mars. It couldn't anywhere else. We would need Oxygen tanks to breathe and we would have to use Nitrogen in the air so we were not breathing pure Oxygen. On Mars would could construct a greenhouse and grow food. There is probably frozen water in the ground and on the caps to use. They would need new spacesuits to make the pressure liveable and there would need to be heating in them. For power they would need to use the wind power, solar power, and probably nuclear power. It could happen on Mars, but not really on another planet in our solar system

As long as there is nothing to prevent it. I mean if we all die of global warming or some other event then obviously we can't live on other planets, but technology will advance otherwise.

We had better... We were at 6.6 billion people right now and we're selfishly pumping out babies at a rate of 80 MILLION people per year faster than the rate of death. If we don't start contolling our population, we'll need to start wearing space suits. Otherwise, mother nature will control our population for us and she won't be so nice...

Absolutely! We have to first learn how to live on this one however!! Within most of our lifetimes, we will inhabit the moon. I believe that by the year 2100, we will have colonies on Mars too!!!
