figure things out on their own? i see sooooo many questions on here that are stupid lol, there has GOT to be somebody you can ask besides this place lol.i mean really. who agrees with me? dont you think some of these questions that people ask here are just down right ridicules? c'mon people do some research go to the library

I think some people are lazy - a lot of homework questions. I never had the luxury of Y/A when I was in school...But I have needed a quick answer for things when I need it in a hurry. I also find conflicting info. on the web so I ask here to see what most say. I also look for people with experience in the category. But I agree, some people ask some lame questions.

It's much easier to ask a person who may have knowledge on the subject and pass on their experience than to go read a book...too much time involved and may not find the right answer--that's why we're here. Main thing is to give as much info as possible on the vehicle like make. model, engine, trans, mileage, history of the problem, noises or sounds or smells, visual clues, etc.....it's all about details.

I do agree. However I can see some point to it. If you do not know what to search for how are you going to get the results. It's like the story I tell my kids about the 710 cap. anyone who knows cars knows what the 710 cap is. (If you don't know E-mail me.) but thats exacly my point. some people just don't know what they need to ask or how to ask it. an Open forum is often the best place to get started or get an idea as to what to look for or what they need to be asking.
