if they did away with all the points, levels, best answer, etc.? Not saying they should...just curious.
I also wonder what the ppl who give stupid answers just to get the points would do if they got no points for their answers.

I don't really care about the points. I'm addicted to answering and seeing what people answered me. I'm more addicted to the thumbs up than the points. I guess that those who answer questions just to get the 2 points would find something else to do with their lives. It might also entice them to put more effort into their answers. Could be a good thing to get rid of those points. Or, the asker could give the 2 points to whom ever deserves it. Just an idea.

People would still answer. It will take me forever to get to level 7 so points mean little now. I just do it for the fun of it. I think it's more of a social thing.
Edit: Anyway, I ask so many questions, I waste most of the points I accrue. It's more fun that way anyhow. The thing I worry about the most are the trolls out there that have fun stalking you and trying to turn you in for nonsense violations. I just want to have fun.

eh the points don't matter to me.. I just like giving advice and helping people out. Different people are going to lose interest in this site at different times. After all, most everything gets old and boring eventually.
