Most of these answers are from people that are complete idiots and are too ignorant to pick up a book and read it. People made Amway bad, not the corporation. There is no more Amway in the US anymore. The sons and daughters of the founders transitioned the business onto the Internet which is now Quixtar. All the business now is a supply hub. Quixtar is good at what it does but it does not have a business system with it. There are over 800 organizations that use Quixtar, some good some bad. Check the sources below to educate you which one to look for. Yes it is MLM, but no other MLM can compare to the compensation plan and integrity of the company. But make sure you do your homework. Most of all be careful who you listen to, they may be broke.

Good Luck!!

I once had an associate whom I had worked with who swore by amway. I would agree that some of their products are above standard, but cost is considerably higher than the norm. If you are looking to get into the amway business, make sure that you have all the correct information. Amway works on the train system, which is someone represents you to become a member, and thereby decreasing their cost which they have to pay for their product, and lowering the price to the consumer, if they feel so inclinded. Mind you this was back in the 80's . Yes you can make a lot of money, if you know where to sell. I would suggest large businesses as well as the average consumer. This would take a lot of foot and phone work, but if you feel that you are not only capable, but also a heck of a sales person, then I say go for it.

Hello fourfoot, Amway are the oldest and for the time being the largest network marketing company in the world.
They was established in 1959, and are a solid company dealing with a lot of products we all use.

As an Amway rep you have to sell products to earn money, and because they are a network marketing based company they want you to find people that could be distributors too. To build a network is important to earn really big money with this type of companies.

To read more about Amway - go to www.amway.com.

If you want to learn skills to be a network marketer, just tell me by mail, and if you want to look at other companies too, check out the web-addresses in my signature.

You are gong to hear so many bad things about Amway because so many people got screwed back in the 80's. I know many people who made a lot of money with it, but it's time may have passed.

Like all MLM's only a tiny fraction (less than 1%) make enough money at this to make a living. I was in Amway in the mid-80's and I made about $1000 per month, but the aggravation wasn't worth it. I made money because I worked hard and had a few commercial accounts. Because of my success (more than my immediate upline), they kept hounding me to sponsor people and find more commercial accounts. The aggravation wasn't worth it, so I sold my distributorship to an elderly couple.

Today, it will be practically impossible to do what I did (get commercial accounts). I would avoid them, and avoid all MLMs.

My aunt and uncle nearly went bankrupt because of Amway, and they lost lots of friends. It is a HUGE scam. Don't fall for it. There are many other ways to earn money!

Yeah, you will have no friends if you join this cult. It's multi-level marketing. The only way to make money is to bring more people in under you - lots more people in fact. The few at the top make the real money, live in the big houses, and drive the nice cars. Don't fall for this scam. Good Luck
