I would pick you up and take you to the emergency room myself so that I can be the one to personally explain to the doctor what grusome act I had just commited ( and also so that he could be able to better understand what treatment would help you to recover faster.)

This actually happened to me when I was a junior in HS, and the person we ran over was a police officer, oops. It was late in the evening and the policeman was turned around backwards in the road directing traffic with no orange vest on. We stopped and and ambulance was called. No charges were filed, it was an accident. The officer crushed my windshield, I had an imprint of his head there! However, all he sustained was a broken ankle and he did have to have surgery. My bf, who was driving, and I went to the hospital to apologize to the family. It was hard facing the wife of the man we had run over with a car! But everything turned out well.

I'd pull over, run out to the street, help you to the sidewalk, and then call 911 while saying "Sorry!" a lot and crying. And I'd stay until the ambulance came. And then pray you wouldn't sue me.
People are too sue-happy these days for an act of kindness.

I would offer to take you to the hospital and sit all day with you or call an ambulance and the police just in case there are internal injuries and then phone my car insurance company and tell them this person ran out in front of my car, screaming "I want to die" at least them my premium wouldn't go up..
