Email because I can be as long winded in email as I desire, without anyone or anything interrupting me like I can be if I'm in IM or talking on the phone as there are times friends say "I got to go" or "I have to run", and e-mails give a person a chance to read when they can make/take the time out of their busy schedules.

I guess it matters when you were born. I won't even Respond to a text message. I can't keep up with an IM with any resemblance to intelligence . I am uncomfortable on the phone and am king of the two minute call.
EMAILS really work for me. I have time to think about my reply.

email. I hate the phone... it's almost a phobia. IM, not so bad, but still. I like emails because I can do it whenever I want, I can take my time to think of what I want to say, I can spell check, etc... It's just better.

depends on who im talking to...if its my boyfriend i'd rather talk on the phone, but if its like a friend that i dont hang out with that much than email's the way to go

I like a little bit of everything. Emails and instant messaging are cool but sometimes you want to hear a person's voice as well.
