The Vietnam War was a mistake that presidents Truman, Eisenhower, Kennedy, Johnson, Nixon, and Ford all stepped in to. They never got the kind of intelligence advice against starting that war that Mr. Bush did re. Iraq. The needlessness and enormous costs of the Iraq war were pointed out to Mr. Bush before he started his war but he went ahead anyway, deliberately. Its the difference between accidentally running a stop sign and causing a traffic wreck, and deliberately running a stop sign just for fun. Mr. Bush is the kind of leader who ends empires. And he ended this one centuries before it would have ended otherwise.

The Vietnam War was over when Jimmy Carter was elected president in 1976.... Nixon, Johnson, and even Kennedy can be criticized or judged. We can criticize a number of errors with the Carter administration, but not necessarily the Vietnam War.....

Carter or any democrat hasn't been harsh enough you point to the vietnam war but forget to mention it was republican failed leadership that made that mess worse other than the civil war one could easily make a case for the republican party being losers when it comes to winning wars. The U.S military is the best in the world but it needs politicians who know how to do their part to be able to win wars.Torturing, bombing civilians, raping them and killing them in anger doesn't build the basis for military success. For an army to win they have to have a good administration that follows the rules of war and doesn't make stupid remarks and stupid policy decisions. The soldiers on the ground have to work to earn the trust and respect of the civilian population if they can't accomplish that there is no way to win.The military must maintain high standards for the soldiers it allows to enlist otherwise you put soldiers capable of doing more harm than good on the battlefield trials after the fact do no good to undo the damage once mistrust is gained it is very hard to undo.

At the very least, Carter may have forgotten his own presidency.
He created two wildly unnecessary governmental departments, jacked up taxes, sold out the Panama Canal, tried to sell national security down the river, supported a dictator in Iran until the people there installed something worse, couldn't free the hostages, and oversaw one of the most dismal economic periods since the Great Depression.
So even if the Bush presidency is pretty bad, he's really not one to talk.

1) Precision bombing is a farce perpetrated by our military spin machine. How else do you explain 500,000 dead innocent Iraqi civilians unless we were trying to kill them along with the "bad guys" ?
2) So the people who took great pains to deny 50,000 Black Floridians the right to vote in 2000 and finesse the voting in Ohio in 2004 so that many of those districts had statistically bizarre results - these same people allowed for a completely legitimate election in Iraq? Can I interest you in a bridge I own in NYC, I'll make you a great deal!
3) Wrong again, skippy. The protests to the Iraq War have been the largest in our nation's history AND the largest in WORLD history. Our Corporate Media did not report them because they are owned by Bush supporting corporations. Do you really think GE is going to allow the truth to be told by NBC News if it goes against their interests?

Carter forgot the fact that voters realized they made a huge mistake giving him a chance and booted his stupid *** out of office the very first chance they got. He forgot the double digit inflation, the gas shortages, the hostage situation in Iran he left to someone else to clean up. He gave away the Panama Canal and thought Ronald Reagan's idea to end the cold war was off base. Carter is easily the worst president ever.
Question:
Who's the only person elected to the presidency to have filed a UFO-sighting report with the Air Force? You guessed it.
Bank robber Willie Sutton's assessment of Carter: "I've never seen a bigger confidence man in my life, and I've been around some of the best in the business"

hi Jeff buddy, i wager you're too youthful to maintain in concepts sitting contained in the gasoline lines on unusual-and-even-days to get $3 of gasoline. wager you do not keep in concepts 17% interest expenditures and rediculous inflation. wager you do not keep in concepts the Iran Hostage Crises after the Anit-Semite Carter allowed the Shah to be toppled and his failed attempt to get the hostages released. convinced, he turned right into a President of reliable will who couldn't even get the hostages freed. It took a real guy with a sequence like Ronald Reagan to freshen up the mess left by utilising your hero, Gestapo Cartier who by no ability met a dictator or American hater he did not love. get over it with Bush. Bush is fairly fallacious, yet you've your danger at glory back at the same time as Barry wins the Presidential election. hi basically undeniable Dim, Carter a humanitarian? basically ask the individuals of Zimbabwe and Venuzuala. Jimbo's interference in those us of a's elections has worked out okay for its voters.

Jimmy Carter feels empowered because he thinks there is finally a candidate he can hang that title on besides himself, but Carter is still the worst President of all time.
Let me explain:
Carter ok'd giving away the Panama Canal, which took a huge number of American lives and fortune to build. We later had to go to war when we felt this was threatened. Now the Chinese run it, how wonderful, thanks Jimmy.
Carter supported the overthrow of the Shah of Iran, which triggered the Islamic revolution and Islamic radicalism. As we all know now, strengthening and fostering this enemy led to 9/11, and will likely result in WW3 at some point.
Carter accepted boatloads of cuban refugees, who later turned out to be an unloading of criminals from Cuban prisons. In this way the US took a load off Cuba's finances by paying for their prison in the USA.
Carter never met a Dictator he didn't love. He continues to love fidel Castro, even though the Cuban people are starving and anyone who disagrees with Fidel gets prison and torture.
He also recently went to Venezuela to verify the election of Hugo Chavez, but we now know the election was rigged, and Jimmy apparently didn't do his job...again. Now Chavez is nationalizing his entire country and has put himself in place as "President for life". This guy is a threat to America, but perhaps that is why Jimmy love him so much.
Jimmy Carter also had some great quotes, such as "America's greatest days are over" and "I lusted in my heart" He also took advise on nuclear arms from his teenage daughter (now radical Liberal herself) Amy Carter.
Jimmy was also once attacked by a rabbit while fishing, but luckily, he fought it off with the oar of his boat.
All in all, the career of a buffoon in my opinion, and one that has endangered America and continues to do so. Why would anyone listen to this guy??

As Carter was involved in the arms for food scandal, he naturally would call Bush a bad president.
