Phone calls can be randomly intercepted and screened. My advice to you would be, don't say things like that and then you wont have to worry. I do believe that every time George Bush is referenced and the word b*mb (and other subjective words) are used on the internet that there are people that are paid well to investigate. Never assume you are completely anonymous in any circumstance.

People that don't believe this is possible: study some US history and get back to me.

If the sites below is to be believed, then the answer is: Yes! The system is called 'Echelon'. "The U.S. prompted New Zeland to join a new and highly secret global intelligence system. Nicky Hager's investigation into it, and his discovery of the ECHELON DICTIONARY, revealed one of the world's biggest, most closely held intelligence projects. The system allows spy agencies to monitor most of the world's telephone, e-mail and telext communications. ....ECHELON is designed primarily for non-military targets: governments, organizations, businesses, and individuals in virtually every country..... .The computers in stations around the globe are known, within the network, as the ECHELON Dictionaries. Computers that can automatically search through traffic for keywords have existed since at least the 1970s, but the ECHELON system was designed by NSA to interconnect all these computers and allow the stations to function as components of an integrated whole. The NSA and GCSB are bound together under the five-nation UKUSA signals intelligence agreement. The other three partners, all with equally obscure names are: the Government Communications Headquarters (GCHQ) in Britain, the Communications Security Establishment (CSE) in Canada, and the Defense Signals Directorate (DSD) in Australia.... The computers at each station in the ECHELON network automatically search through the millions of messages intercepted for ones containing pre-programmed keywords. Keywords include all the names, localities, subjects, and so on that might be mentioned. Every word of every message intercepted at each station gets automatically searched whether or not a specific telephone number or e-mail address is on the list. ..... " And so on! The enemy within! The second site tells of an incidence when NSA admitted to monitoring the communications of a family, simply because the mother had told a friend during a 'phone conversation, that her son had 'bombed' in his school play!

I heard if you type anything on your computer against the president or the country certain words will trigger a computer tracing from the government. I don't know how true it is but I wouldn't put it past them.

Be careful you never know who's listening in or downloading from your computer from a car up the road. Wait for the midnight knock.

No, I'm pretty sure you're safe unless you've given someone a *reason* to tap your lines. All telephone conversations are not recorded.
