You should have a vet take a look at her. She might have a health problem. I just don't know what those bumps are. Maybe she won't let people ride her because of the bumps. When people ride her, maybe that hurts her leg. I'm not sure, so don't take my word for it. But you should have a vet look at her. I hope she feels better!

Definitely have a vet out. The fact that she's laying down all the time is a good sign it hurts her to stand, hence why she doesn't want to be ridden. Those bumps could be caused from anything. There's just no way to know(having not seen the injury occur.) without having a vet examine her. I wouldn't hesitate to make an appointment, this could be a serious injury or reaction, and waiting could have grave consequences.

the closest Yahoo! solutions has ever come to suggesting the dazzling classification (while it incorporates the pony area) is 'Horse Racing'. UGH! My dream horse could be a dapple gray, 11 twelve months old Hanoverian PSG schoolmaster. Woot.

Your horse needs a serious examination by a veterinarian. She may have arthritis in her leg, or some other specific problem such as infection from wounds of some kind.
Get her looked at as soon as possible, she is in pain.

It could be splints. If it is a hard bump between the splint and cannon bone it may be hot and this means it is painful for your mare. Overworking, working on hard ground (Concussion) or kicks etc are causes. She may not be lame with a splint - it may be painful though.

first of all call the vet. laying down could be signs of early colic. every day run cold water on her leg for about five minutes.

I don't mean to sound rude -- but honestly! Do you NEED us to tell you that your horse needs a vet?
Obviously something is very wrong -- have a vet examine her!
