I live in FL, and my mom wants me to keep myself occupied over the summer. Maybe a class or job or camp, something like that.

just hang out with your friends, babysit, do some chores.. maybe volunteer at your local pet shelter (if you love animals)
theres tons of stuff you can do
you could also go to a 1 or 2 week camp for whatever you love to do..

try out a new sport; maybe if you like it, you can try out for that team @ school, or maybe get really into it a go for lessons. i wouldnt want to spend my summer babysitting if i was 13, but maybe if a friend does it w/ u it could be fun. you cant be busy EVERY day, but amybe you can go to the movies every now and then mall, or the beach, give lessons with dolphins for tourists; ans you parents if you can gon 2 a concert (kelly clarkson is going to florida) go to water parks. have you friends over, and make up your own games. there is a lot to do!

Volunteer! It's fun, you'll make friends, do something important for your community, and learn new things. Volunteer America has a website that lists all sorts of possibilities, from short to long-term, anywhere in the US, for any age. Check it out, you're sure to find something you'd enjoy!

13 year is not a child age, involve yourself in some productive works, learn some thing like cooking, handicrafts, stitching, painting, designing, watch good movies which enhance to your education, do a parlor course, add value in your advance studies, do some first aid course, take part in singing etc keep yourself busy you will enjoy very much.

Hang out with your friends.
If you don't have a lot of friends, volunteer for something.
Pick up a hobby, horseback riding, skate boarding, dancing, etc. and work on that. (It'll cost money, but you could make more friends that way too.)

How about making money, mowing lawns, babysitting, dog walking? This not only gives you extra spending money, but teaches you responsibility also, if none of those trip your trigger, how about volunteering at a nursing home?
