Looks doesn't really count for a whole lot.... *cough *cough Ron Jeremy.
But you do need to be able to get your willy up on command in under 2 minutes.
Remember, there's an entire film crew standing around not being paid every minute it takes you to get "it" hard. And they're not gonna be too happy with you if it take you A LONG time to work.
Also, another thing you might wanna keep in mind is that guys in straight films are NOT paid all that much. The females are the ones the guys (and some women) are there to see, NOT you.
Guys in porno are a dime a dozen. If you can't get it up, they'll just find some other dude who can, and for less money.
If you really want to make bank go over to the gay porn. A LOT of straight porn actors (with girlfriends) do it JUST to be able to pay the rent.

You go to San Diego, San Fransisco, or Los Angeles, walk into one of the many adult video producers and apply. They will ask you to drop your clothes so the can take a photo and then they will ask you to prove that you can make things happen and take a picture of that as well. If they tell you they will get back with you then you are not qualified. If they tell you your hired then you have what it takes. You will then be required to be tested for STDs and assuming you come out clear then you are an your way. It then just becomes a question of what type of sex you are in as to how much money you can make. Did I mention that you will have to start by proving you are at least eighteen years old and that you want to be there, expect that to be taped. It is essential that you be a consenting adult and able to perform on call.
