Most of the times I feel that being an adult is so overrated. You have to make tons of decisions, pay tons of bills, and people have higher expectations of you as well. Being a kid was so much simpler at times as you didn't have to worry about a lot of things that you worry about as an adult. As a kid you simply played and got to enjoy life a little bit more although my childhood was kind of rough.

i love being an adult (im 21), but i feel like the novelty is wearing off pretty fast. I have to work, pay bills, be on a budget, take care of my dog and boyfriend, (although he's 25 and waaaay better at being an adult.)...even being 21 and going out, isnt that great anymore. :( i miss being a teenager. That was the best.

I've tried for years ans never succeeded. Now I'm too old to remember what it was like not to be an adult.
The worlds a tough old place love and you have to deal with the ups and downs and take them on the chin then you'll be a man my son.
[IF]
If you can keep your head when all about you
Are losing theirs and blaming it on you,
If you can trust yourself when all men doubt you
But make allowance for their doubting too,
If you can wait and not be tired by waiting,
Or being lied about, don't deal in lies,
Or being hated, don't give way to hating,
And yet don't look too good, nor talk too wise:
If you can dream--and not make dreams your master,
If you can think--and not make thoughts your aim;
If you can meet with Triumph and Disaster
And treat those two impostors just the same;
If you can bear to hear the truth you've spoken
Twisted by knaves to make a trap for fools,
Or watch the things you gave your life to, broken,
And stoop and build 'em up with worn-out tools:
If you can make one heap of all your winnings
And risk it all on one turn of pitch-and-toss,
And lose, and start again at your beginnings
And never breath a word about your loss;
If you can force your heart and nerve and sinew
To serve your turn long after they are gone,
And so hold on when there is nothing in you
Except the Will which says to them: "Hold on!"
If you can talk with crowds and keep your virtue,
Or walk with kings--nor lose the common touch,
If neither foes nor loving friends can hurt you;
If all men count with you, but none too much,
If you can fill the unforgiving minute
With sixty seconds' worth of distance run,
Yours is the Earth and everything that's in it,
And--which is more--you'll be a Man, my son!

I do. You can buy any ice cream you want without negotiating with your Mum! I always had a fight with her over if I could have a 99 or just a regular cone. Now I can have a 99 if I want! Go to the cinema when I want and buy as much popcorn as I please, Go to bed when I want, sleep all day on my day off if I want, and own my own home, decorated to my taste. To be married, and have the most fabulous parties and not worry about it! Travelling and going on holiday with the girls.... Being a grown up is great!

Sometimes...like when doing things only adults can do...R movies, bars, drinking, etc...but then there are those times when you wish you could hold on to the innocence of childhood forever...leaning on parents for support...
