I have a Netgear router connected to the Host computer, a Dell Desktop. I've recently changed the WEP key for the Wireless Network I share with 2 computers. After that, I can't seem to connect to the internet on the non-host computer. How am I supposed to update the changed WEP key on the Host computer? I don't see where to change it. Do I also have to save it to my router? How then? Any help is greatly appreciated~

Also---I just figured out my IP addresses on both computers are different. And I'm not sure how to configure my Router settings-Geek Squad had to set it up for me.

To change the WEP or WAP key you must log into your routers settings and change it there.

Then you need to change it in your wireless computers also. To do this follow the instructions below.

Open Control Panel
Open Network Connections
Select the wireless connection and right click on it
Select View Wireless Networks
Select Change AOrder of Prefered Networks
Select the SSID you wish to change and click on it
Put in the new WEP or WAP Key and save.

Inorder to change the WEP key on the host computer then you have to go to:

4. on the bottom half of the window that will appear, there will you will find the preffered access points, click on the access point name that you connect to and click edit.
5. right the new key and right the re-right the ket for confirmation and click ok

Go on the Host Computer and open Internet Explorer...

Then type in the adress bar : 192.168.1.1
or 192.168.0.1

And then the menu of your router will be displayed on your screen...

Hope it'll work...
