I am taking Film and TV Production in Toronto and I either want to be a scriptwriter, visual editor or something like a music producer with my sound background.
I think I want work in TV more than movies, but of course I'll take anything starting off.
I'm trying to decide where I should live which will increase my chances of getting a job. A lot of people automatically think "Hollywood" but with so many people thinking that, are there actually that many jobs in Cali?
Basically, I'm between B.C., Caliornia or Toronto. What do you guys think? Preferably I would like to be somewhere warmer which suggests B.C or I was trying to think of another south western state which would also offer lots of film and tv jobs.
Any thoughts and opinions are greatly appreciated

Try to get your internship or mentorship in Toronto or Vancouver, your odds are better there than doing a relocation to California until you have built up experience, connections and get the working visa.

Hopefully some of your professors have worked in the field and can be a reference in finding work.

Getting experience may mean not getting paid much, if at all. But if you can get involved in a small independent production, you can wind up getting your wish in doing all those things, but it is going to take up a lot of time.

Vancouver seems to be a place where they are always filming for TV or movies.

I have links below that you should have bookmarked.

I would look at Dallas for Film. It is close enough to be able to travel into Los Angeles to work in the TV industry on occasion from DFW into ONT cost of living makes that affordable.
