How do you feel about Bush being willing to give citizenship and legal status to illegal aliens? He has said he is "eager to sign this bill", do you feel betrayed or are you agree only with the Democrats? It seems Bush is as liberal as Ted Kennedy on immigration yet you still like him. I appreciate well-thought out insights and no partisan hackery. Democrats abstain from this question because is not for you.

I am a conservative Republican, and a dissagree with this amnesty crap. Why even call them illegal anymore, every five years a new President just makes them all legal. Why not just declare open borders, soon we will become Mexico.

No no, I feel betrayed, bigtime !
I support Bush on the war and all that, but not on immigration.
I have a feeling that he wants to give congress what they want in exchange for the War Funding Bill, we'll see in the next two weeks. In the meantime------------------------

Ted Kennedy invited the American Civil Liberties Union,
the National Immigration Law Center, the National Council
of La Raza, the Service Employees International Union,
the Chamber of Commerce and the Essential Worker
Immigration Coalition to help him craft his
comprehensive immigration-reform bill.

Completely ignored in this process are American citizens!

I am outraged, that any attempt to draft a legitimate
immigration bill that would satisfy the American people
has been stolen away by "open-border" lobbyists!

That's why I've added my name to this important
Grassfire.org petition, and why I'm inviting you to do the
same--before Ted Kennedy and his cohorts ram an amnesty
bill down our throats that will jeopardize our national security.

I am part of the vast right wing conspiracy (I have a coffee mug to prove it) and I really don't think this immigration bill is any good. It should be taken out and burned. I don't know why Bush is throwing his hat in with Kennedy, because all Kennedy is gonna do when this thing blows up is blame Bush. He really shouldn't sign it.

I have supported the President on most issues and stood up his detractors, but I can't agree with this immigration bill. I'm afraid we've just opened Pandora's Box on this one. If the laws on the books had been enforced, we wouldn't be in this mess in the first place. It's my opinion that the Democrats in Congress have motives that aren't a bit altruistic. They're looking to this bill as a way to increase their power because they see the vast majority of illegal aliens as future votes!

Still like him?!? True conservatives have never really liked him.

I'm appalled that anyone would give amnesty to law breakers. These illegals come here to work day labor jobs, get paid in cash so they don't have to pay taxes on that money then send any extra money back to mexico. None of them will be productive members of our society since they refuse to assimilate and become part of our society.

I am VERY upset with Bush on this decision. I usually agree with his policies, but he is betraying America with this one.
