They are no different than Christians, Budhists or Hindu's. What is dangerous with any religion are the right wing nutcases and all religions have had them at one time or another.
How about Jimmy Jones an American who led 909 people to their deaths in 1978.
Source: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jim_Jones
How about David Koresh who led 74 people to their deaths.

How about the late Jerry Falwell and his crazy reasoning for 9/11 happening.
Source:http://archives.cnn.com/2001/US/09/14/Falwell.apology/
And of course their is still one nut case alive and that is Pat
Robertson a confirmed Religious Nut Case

All in all there are lots of Nut Jobs out there and the United States has had their fair share of Religious Nut Cases. Sometimes it is best to look after your own yard than sticking your nose into someone elses as George Walker Bush an dhis lying Administration have done by going into Iraq.

Where Religious tyranny is concerned,Islam is the focus now, thanks in no small part to the events of 9/11.However,
history shows us that with the possible exception of the Bahai
(Sp?)faith,ALL monotheistic religions are dogmatic, intolerant and fanatical to a murderous degree. Why should any one monotheistic religion be singled out for special condemnation over another? Those who look to the blatantly hostile acts of Muslim terrorists against America and the rest of the Western democracy fail to realize that Christianity has victimized America, right down to her very soul, with censorship, puritanism, intolerance and psycho-sexual repression for the last four hundred years, and continues to do so UNCHECKED in what is supposed to be a free society! I would say that Christianity is far and away the worse death cult of all-terrorizing the psyches and minds
of all it touches.
But to answer your question more directly,I would say that
a person's religious title means very little where the true nature and character of said individual is concerned.Taken as a group,ANY number of people representing anything could be seen as "bad";However, very few individuals intentionally practice their respective faiths in such a way that harms anyone.

No, they are not. Certainly no more than any other organized religion with extremist factions that bastardize the basic tenets of their faith in a quest for power. But you will likely get many yes answers from the ignorant who only wish to perpetuate hatred and intolerance of that which they do not understand.

Unfortunately, a fundamentalist tends to be intolerant (and more than that) violently aggressive toward others. Under Islamic law, many of my friends and family would be subject to death.
Muslims, like any other group, must temper their beliefs with respect for others.

Non-radical Islam needs to come out STRONGLY against the radical. Until that happens, there will be great distrust of all of them.
