tampax tampons are the best. if you insert them properly they will work and you will not know you have them in. you will just have to replace when you use the bathroom or at least every 2 hours depending on how heavy your flow is. when you have a very light period it is recommended that you do not use them otherwise the tampax will not be comfortable. visit your local pharmacist about any doubts/questions you have before beginning to use them.

In combination with a pad for back up, yes. It's just tidier, not fool proof.

Try Beyond, a smooth ended tampon. More comfortable.

If it's the actual insertion that's daunting, go to your GP or get a gynecologist to give a bit of advice. Or if you have a gf, sister or other open female friend, just ask. Most girls know we all learn these things the hard way, and don't mind sharing what info we've gleaned. Look at how many of us come here, LOL!

Also, you could try doing a bit of research into your own sexual anatomy/physiology. Handy info to know in the future, if not now.

If you are uncomfortable inserting tampons then you should rethink using them. Tampax is a brand of tampons. Long term usage of tampons is not recommended. Tampons contains two things that are harmful to the body. One is Rayon (for absorbency) and two is Dioxin (a chemical uses in bleaching products).
Dioxin is potentially a carcinogenic and it is toxic to the immune and reproductive systems.
Fibers from continuous use of tampons are left in the vagina and over time causes TSS(toxic shock syndrome).
If you prefer to use tampons then make sure that the package reads - ALL COTTON UNBLEACHED TAMPONS. These all natural fiber tampons are usually found in health food stores and are a bit costly.

Good luck and I am sure you will make the best decision for yourself. Hope I was able to help.

They work very well (I've never had a leak) and are convenient (no sticky pad). Each box has a slip of paper that gives you suggestions of how to insert the tampon comfortably. As long as the whole tampon is inside with just the string out, you're fine.

Yes dear it really works...

Read the instruction in the package, or have a talk with your mom about it. There is no way for it to get lost. It won't fall out...

yes, they work. I only use tampons. stick it in, push the plunger, pull it out and you're good to go for a few hours.

P.S. - use the right size, though (absorbancy) you'll get used to them
