Is it ok to go swimming in the ocean with a tampon when u have ur peroid? or would like sharks smell it?

go up to the pool or tan by the ocean.

Sharks smell blood in the water, not blood in your body. Thus if you don't leak you won't have any problem. Wear a super if you're really concerned. Also you have to think about where you're swimming. What's the shark popoulation like? How close to shore are they usually spotted? Sharks can only smell blood within a quarter mile, but they can hear you splashing miles away - think about that. That taken into consideration, if sharks are spotted a mile or more out to sea in your particular area, you have nothing at all to worry about. Also, consdier this: in 2005 there were only 58 recorded shark attacks, of which only 4 were fatal. You are more likely to encoutner a shark during dawn or dusk and in warmer water. There are only four species of sharks that have ever been involved in unprovoked attacks on humans: the Great White, tiger, oceanic whitetip and bull shark. If those are not common predators in your area then your odds drop even lower. Most attacks are on surfers and bodyboarders, they look like seals.
If you're really curious, do some research, you'll see how little risk there is. You are more likely to be hit by a bus or struck by lightning!!!

I've done it with no problems.
Actually you don't bleed when you're in the water. It's weird and I don't know how our bodies do this. I know a lot of girls who don't believe in using tampons, but they swim and then just run to the bathroom when there are out of the pool. Too risky for me, but you have no idea they are on their period.

Yes...just make sure you remember to change it often you dont want it to leak. Yes sharks wouls smell if you did leak but dont worry it you wear a super

Sharks can smell blood - not a good idea.
Also, it isn't a great idea to go camping when you have your period - bears and other wild animals can pick up on the scent.
