I have been putting my back out for years now,and have not really bothered going to the doctors as all they were offering me was pain killers.
My back is at it's worse now and my spine is now clicking whaen i am walking and i have a pain going into my bottom and a sensation of needing to go to the toilet.
Does anybody have a idea what it may be?

I too have had back problems for years. Recently, my left arm started to tingle and I finally went to the dr.. Then I had a M.R.I., the only way to get a real good look in there...Now Im going to have surgery. The clicking in your spine is a result of your spine being out of line. Dealing with that on a daily basis only complicates the problem. As for you other symptoms, Im not sure, but a trip to your Dr. will not only answer these questions, but give you peace of mind. Good-luck.

You say you've been putting up with it for years how silly is that sorry but if you were in that much pain you would not have been able to have had a normal life style.

I know all about back pain. With pain travelling down the front of the legs (not the back) this is the most insiduos kind of back pain and I was unable to sleep, move, my life was a complete wreck and all because I ignored the warning signs.

So your doctor may give you pains killers as stop gap until you can get a constultants prognosis.

Please go and do not ignore it any longer.

I ended up having to have three types of back surgery due to my own stupidity.

I'm much better now though but I have been left with bladder problems.

Perhaps you are feeling apprehensive which is understandable but drugs and back surgery has moved on a great deal in the past tens years or so.

All the best and get your painful bottom to the doctors...like tomorrow for an appointment.

If you were a fella I'd say see the Doctor about your prostate ( Husband has bad pain with his and it sounds a lot like your prob ) but as you're a Girl I think you've got a disc problem get a scan/ x-ray because the longer you leave it the more damage you'll do to you're older self good luck.

I honestly don't know what the problem with your back is but my husband has been suffering from back problems for years. Going to a chiropractor once a week and taking Devil's Claw (it's an all natural herb you can find in a health food store) helped him a lot. After he started taking to capsules twice a day he noticed a big improvement in his back within 3 days.

you need professional medical advice.
Don’t trust a total stranger on Yahoo Answers to analyze your problem.

Please go to the doctor's. I have suffered for so many years from back pain. I turned into an alcoholic to hide pain (and other pain). Been sober for 2 and a half years now and have been on every tablet you can have for back pain, I have had MRI scans, you name it i have had it. You could well of worn away your disc's, got trapped nerves, (giving you the pain in your bot), I can only suggest that you get this sorted as soon as possible, the pain gets unbearable at times and today they write me off as Disabled because it effects my walking, balance ect. Please Please get it sorted out, I don't wish this pain on anyone.

I have back problems too - I have sciatica - I have tired chiropractors and occupational therapists - the best answer to the pain was acupuncture - but get it checked out with your GP first to establish what it is!

Have you ever tried a chiropractor? The right one can work wonders for back problems.

back problems should cause you to have urgency to go to the bathroom... could you have an infection? kidney infections can cause lower back aches.
