Usually 20 weeks, varies from state to state, up to 28 weeks if a known serious deformity exists. Meant to be a legitimate reason for the abortion, but in reality it's abortion on demand. In some states, at any time up to full term to save the life of the mother.

it's less the legal limit than the medical safety factor. abortions must be done within the first trimester to be safe for the mother.
