I am good at maths and physics. Best in the class. I think math and physics are part of nature, and I should know them by just looking at them not by putting on paper. So, am I trying too hard to be perfectionist here.?

Being imaginary is one thing but being practical is another! The achievements outlined are appreciated but failure to follow certain established traditions in the learning process may be construed negative! So, be a reflectionist rather than perfectionist as no man is perfectly perfect!

It sounds like you just want to be the best. I don't think thats bad as long as you eat a spoon of Humble Pie every now and then. Its good that you want to know these things, but don't separate or alienate yourself for the sake of learning when class is over and there are NO assignments. Then you would be trying way to hard. Don't act like you know it all or act like your better just because your the highest or best in the class.People will see this as annoying and that could be a chance for you to get teased.Be proud of yourself and be confident.Remember though the Best things in life are free.So learn to keep a balance between when to learn and when to spend time with family or friends. If you achieve this then you won't be seen as a perfectionist. I wish you the best!

Being good at maths and physics are both talents! Just because you are talented at something, does NOT mean you are a perfectionist. If you are a perfectionist, you probably overanalyze things. I hope this helps.

No. People work out/do things differently. I try to work out maths without paper just for practice and fun ( I love it).

Yes. Everyone has coginitive limitations and your working memory (or short term memory) is limited in the information it can hold. No one can hold all the necessary information together at the same time to solve complex procedures. This is what makes us human and not computers.

No, you are just overconfident. I mean maybe you are as good as you say but you still should write stuff down in case you make mistakes. I know how you feel though, I hate when I have to write unnecessary stuff just because the teacher thinks we need to

You need to perfect your natural skills. So yes you are trying a little too hard by not wanting to write it out.

i guess, some people need to put it on paper...like me. I can do simple math in my head, but I can't do any complex problems.
