I cannot make out what exactly your question is and what exactly you want to know.

By saying he is upto the wicket and now he bowls the bowling run-up and bowling of a bowler is being described. By saying dabs the ball to mid wicket, it means that the batsman taps the ball with the bat to mid wicket region. By saying taking a shying at the wicket, it means that the fielder throws the ball and try to hit the wicket
