THE greatest failures were the prejudices of whites who were americanized including but not limited to: held slaves up until 1865 legally and much longer illegally. The late 1800's and early 1900's were charcterized by a huge anti-immegration movement which caused a major resurfacing of the KKK. the alien and sedition acts of 1798(wikipedia date) were used to obstruct the liberty of freedom of speech and bar immigrants. the placing of the japanese in containment camps durring ww2 Major sucesses were the end of slavery. the annexation of hawaii, the phillipines guam, ect durring our imperialist phase which liberated those countries from the harch spanish govt. the war of 1812 was a war to protect americas pride and the freedom of the oceans(dont use unless you need to). we freed panama from columbian rule and by doing so created the panama canal which was a major boost to world trade and the american economy. the new deal programs which were used to alleviate the depressions affects.(Franklin rosevelt). Sorry thats all i can think of at the moment. if i have any more ideas ill send them to you

This is an interesting question. However, you are requesting a very long answer with hours of effort. You can easily do just as well by your own effort with a little research.
