When your angry you feel like you will EXPLODE! but watch out , although it's a normal emotion YOU have to control it and not let it control you ..
there are many things you can do , one is to vent , call a friend who is willing to hear you out and just vent, (remember to thank them for their time and energy), another is exercise it's great for releasing anger! And yet another is yelling ( i don't mean at any body) this will sound corny but it really works go some where alone or private Maybe in the car ( with the windows rolled up) And just yell at the top pf your lungs, and it will all come out, Also you can try comedy, jokes, funny videos , they all work to replace that negative emotion... Are you artistic>? Most artists come up with their best stuff when they are feeling some of the strongest emotions like anger, you can even put it on paper write it out ! whatever you are feeling, and then re read it later , you may even see a different perspective.. Hope this helps.

Think about what it is that makes me angry. Did I hear a truth about myself that I have been unwilling to recognize? If this is the case, then I acknowledge the issue and resolve to work on it so it won't be anything to react to again.

The anger may come up because an old memory was triggered. If so, I need to let the memory and the anger associated with it go. It is in the past and can only affect my present if I let it.

The anger may be justified if it is in response to an act of bigotry or hatred. Then, I let the anger be a catalyst within me to fight this wrong.

It takes a lot to get me angry, so it has to be with somthing that deals with a situation where somebody is being taken advantage of and they are in a position to do nothing about it.

That is what gets me "HOT". I will try and even the score by taking some type of physical action. If it happens at work, I will write a letter or quick note to somebody that can do something about the situation.

Usually, I am not one to respond fast...I will think about the best plan of attack and seek my revenge.

Believe it or not I do housework. I hate housework and normally I do the bare minimum but when my partner and I argue I go OTT on it . It is like a massive spring clean . I scrub carpets , move the furniture, tidy the cupboards out , wash skirting boards and doors, I even wash the front door step and brush the paths. I find it very calming and gets all the stress out of me.

My partner has actually said that when He thinks we have let things go to much he will have an argument with me just to motivate me into doing it. Rotten Sod

When someone has really pi**ed me off, I remember that it's not anybody elses problem. I smile at everyone and kiss my wife hello after work. Then I leave them all an walk my dogs or go to the pub, because it's too much effort to hold it in. I usually have an hour or so of shouting in my head, then go home and tell the wife all about it without getting too upset again!! Someone annoyed you. Take a deep breath and smile.

One of a few things:

* I break or bust object, never people.
* I write out a long diatribe. I often find the process involved in writing very therapeutic.
* I go for a very long walk. Its not uncommon for me to go on a walk ranging about 10 miles or so when I get overly upset.

i walk away from the situation, if i can, then i start cursing, if i cant walk away (and i havent found that to happen very often) then i bite my tongue and curse later,,,,,,,,after i have gotten it out of my system, then i decide what action if any i need to take about what made me angry
for instance, a situation made me so angry at work, i saw red, and want to explode, i excused myself , left work for that day,,,, went home and ranted to anyone who would listen, lol, then analyzed the situation, contacted another job, signed up, turned in my notice at the old job,,,

I get all stupid and teary whenever I'm angry so it looks like I'm upset and not angry! I just get all choked up and teary and I can't control it, which is very annoying!

Play the drums (or practise pads if it's late at night). I'm not sure that it gets the anger out of my system but it gives me something productive to do for a while.

I implode while most people explode when they're angry.
I don't show it until I feel fine again, and then I tell it to my best friend.
