Yes. A train is a bad idea. it forces you to dictate how others will move around you. That's fine if you're the bride because it's your day, but at the prom, it just turns you into a high-maintenence diva.

Yes, the back of my prom dress got completely ruined when I was in high school, and it was a very expensive dress, too. But, I was able to bring it in and get it re-stitched afterwards (because I wanted to keep the dress) and it looks pretty good. I didn't actually care that it got ruined because I loved the dress so much and the train looked awesome. My dress stood out because of it, and it was worth getting a few rips in because of that.

Yes My wedding dress. I stepped on it as did almost everyone I was dancing with, I ripped the Bustle and it would cost 100 to repair. I was so upset. But at least my wedding was a blast and I dont regret any of the dancing!!!!!

No. If that happens you either need to be more careful with the dress or buy a higher quality dress.

Its actually very difficult for that to happen since you will notice that you are being tacked down and stop moving.

I think just happens in the movies.

yes but not a prom dress. It was my wedding dress. It was a out door wedding at a park. there was a lot of people, including onlookers that happen to be at the park at the time. so it was family, friends & strangers that gathered around to watch the wedding. I had high heels on and they kept sinking into the grass as I tried to walk down the isle. I was doing ok despite that untill my brother ( who was walking me down the isle) stepped onto my train. I did a nose dive flat down onto the grass in front of everyone. my brother took a step (onto my dress not realizing) to help me up but pinned me to the ground insted. I struggled to get up and told him I was pinned because he was on my dress and to get off it so I could stand up. he did not hear me because I had to say 2 more times before he did. everyone was looking at me. it was soooo embarrasing. then later at the recieption I fell up (not down) some stairs.
