Well first, it depends on how your team utilizes a FB. In highschool we exclusivly used our fullback as an up the middle runner on traps or blasts off tackle and guard.. So that would mean you would have to be a very explosive power runner that acclerates quickly. I'm guessing you have the size and that is a good thing for a fullback to have.
You should be practicing all movement out of a 3pt stance and low with your shoulders and hips square. You would have to be able to get your ball recieving mechanics down. So having someone to hand the ball off to you definatly helps. Get someone to teach you how to recieve handoffs correctly : Head up, right elbow up arms parallel for left side handoffs and the opposite for right side handoffs. Don't look the ball into your hands that's the QB's job.. you have to be looking for your holes and your future cuts.
Then you need to learn how to protect the ball and power through first contact. Staying low as in everything in football is very important.

I know a guy who did this at the college level. The key is working on your footwork (need quick feet) and speed but not long distance speed, just short bursts. My friend could outrun people who ran 4.4 40s in 10 yard sprints which is why he switched. If your team uses as a blocker need to be able to explode into the whole to pickup your block. If run the ball (even if just block) need leg strength and as always in all football positions need overall body strength.

you should first lose some wieght gain some speed by running with the parachute ; i play fullback in Miami florida so i know speed and i run about a 4.9-5.0 but am used mostly as our powerback or a blocking back which i do not seem to mind plus it is all determined by your desire. if you go to the gym lose some weight and run alot you should have no problem unless your starting FB is an all star.

Honestly boii it dependz on ur built........if ur really big you have to have the power and qwickness 2 b a fullback.........you c im 14...5'4..135poundz.......nd da onli reason i get to play half bak nd safety despite my size...is because 1. i have 4.6 40 yard dash...2. i have a 205 bench which power is very important for a RB.....nb 3. i got the vision and ability to make people miss...........So basicaly the onli way tou will get to play full back is if you meet the physical requirements to play that position....you have to think to urself "am i fast enough"...."Nd Am I agile enough" because cince ur a lineman datz all u will need speed.......oh yea and vision

If you've been a lineman...
what you need to do is drop weight and gain speed and agility.
If you can't do that, be the best damn lineman you can be!
