All the letters go to the same place as your deleted characters after you've typed something wrong.
Some say that all these mistakenly written words are gathered up by a secret government agency who have expert psycho-analysts building psychological profiles on us all based on what we've been typing and writing!
I'm not saying I subscribe to that concept, but a concept it is nonetheless...

i dunno but if you pressed real hard when you wrote all that crap to your secret lover, all anyone has to do is take a pencil and shade over the blank page, and you are screwed. yes even with pencils, so don't think you are sly cuz you didn't use a pen. and i can tell by the look on your face that you've been cheating, and then when i kiss you...there's no doubt, and i really don't like Sin' Ds by proxy. Hell you could have brought me with, I love 3-somes and don't mind sharing one bit. Ok honey bunny. Now go get me a beer.

It swirls around in the ethyr and then gets re-arranged in to new letters written over the erased ones.
Something to do with metaphysics, logical positivism, genetic engineering, spacial metaphors, Quantum Physics, and, I think, Stephen Hawkins.

1) It's all rolled up in those little bits of eraser left on the page
or
2) it grows wings and flys off to "i was just erased" heaven. You know, like cartoons always do.

If you've ever seen that terrible excuse for a cartoon (otherwise known as Chalkzone, which used to be on Nickolodeon a few years back.) It's something like that, but with pencil instead of chalk.

I like it!
It's still there, you just can't read it because the price of your mistake is to have the sentence of having your memory erased imposed upon you
;)

The rubber picks up the ink or lead then crumbles allowing the words and the used rubber to fall to the floor and become dust .
