I looked up synotomys and found nothing, so I can only assume you meant synonyms. But you don't really mean that either. Why are orange and black associated with Halloween? Well I imagine orange is used because of pumpkins. Pumpkins are harvested in the fall, right around Halloween time. Why black? Well, black goes with everything. Oh, and it's scary.

pumpkins for orange and night for black i would say, and synonyms is the correct way to spell it =D lol
