Well, I and that guy dated 2 years ago. I still think about him even though I've been in another relationship for the past year. Because our relationship didn't have a natural end we still have some unresolved issues between us. (He was pressured by friends and family to break up with me so he said it was better to stop then than later when we will hurt more. We still ask our mutual best friend about each other from time to time; otherwise we do not keep in touch).

I am really nervous about having to spend the whole day and evening together, and at the same time I am looking forward to it. I got a really expensive dress and will look fabulous; I also got his dream job which is very well paid. So he will definitely be impressed. I am only not sure how to behave and what to expect from him on the day. Should I be like "My life is great without you and I am successful" or act indifferent or be friendly? My aim is to be full of class and make him appreciate me. Please help.

You shouldn't act. Be yourself.
If you're in a relationship and you're wondering how you can manipulate your ex into "appreciating" you - you have a serious problem.

it is your decision, but i personally would not go as my ex's date, i would go alone or take someone else, even a friend,, to me it would be awkward, and also it would be much more relaxing to not attend with him, that way you could still see him, spend time with him if you wished, but not feel forced
