It's not something to worry about. It doesn't happen to everyone. And, believe it or not, crapping in the middle of labor is taken as a good sign b/c it means that you're pushing the right way. I had an epidural and a catheter so I can't really say about the pee thing. But just in case, make sure to go to the bathroom as often as you can before the real labor hits.

Not to frighten you or anything, but I asked my doctor about it and he said that most women, yes most, who deliver vaginally, defecate on the table. And most of those women, like next to all, have no clue. They don`t tell you. They just get it out of the way so fast that even other people in the room don`t usually notice
Now notice the words, most, and usually dont. Lots of women don`t crap on the table. And a few women know they crap on the table because people have seen it.
But yah, as someone said , it`s a part of childbirth. You push hard enough to squeeze a child out, I`m surprised all women who deliver vaginally don`t.
Some ask for an enema before hand so they dont crap on the table...you get it and run to the bathroom and explode (as my mother put it).
And I had a friend who said she did, she said, bobfrey...by this point you will have had hemroids, you will pee yourself a lil, your breasts will leak, you will have had people sticking things in your open legs everymonth and many times after your water breaks. All of this doesn`t matter at that point, and either does crapping on the table, you just want this baby out of you, and once he/she is born, it was all worth it. You come out with a baby, and no shame

I have had four babies, all delivered naturally. I did a small amount of poo on my first one and the midwives cleaned it up without saying a word. I would ward you against eating hot curries to bring on labour though. My friend did that and she had diarrhea which was very embarrassing for her! With my last baby I was aware that I was weeing little bits but I couldn't get off the bed by that point. They could have more down to weak pelvic floor muscles though. Lol. Good Luck xx

It does happen...but the doctor quickly cleans it up and tosses it away. Believe me, you will be so busy pushing, you will not even notice- I promise.
I always took an enema before leaving for the hospital- and it still happened. The same muscles you are using for a bowel movement you are using to push with. Not a big deal.

Very true. It doesn't happen to everyone though. When it does happen the nurse cleans it up so fast that you don't even realize you did it. I didn't know I did it several times until my mother in-law told me a week later.

it didnt happen to me but it just so happens we had a discussion about this at work the other day (i dont know why haha) and most of the ladies said they had. Just the pressure of pushing i guess, you cant tell what youre pushing out.

It doesn't happen to everyone, but it can happen. I was given an enema [I think} before delivery to stop the crapping part of that, but I did piss on the doctor....OOPS!

It can happen, thats true, but it doesn't to everyone. I was fortunate I didn't. My sister did though. Trust me though, in the throes of labor, you won't care. Plus my sister said the nurses were very discreet about cleaning it up and her husband didn't even notice, lol.

It can happen to anyone. No not everyone does it but it can still happen. Don't stress over it. The doctor is used to it and is not bothered by it and niether should you. It is all just part of having a baby no matter how gross it seems.
