usb wireless not secure can go online without security but having problem with ths wep

should be able to access the settings for it by logging onto your router.
to find the addy for your router, click start > run and type "cmd". then type "ipconfig"
the address for your router is listed under "Default Gateway"
type this into internet explorer and it should bring up some of the settings, including the WEP your having problems with.

WEP is an encryption code to keep unauthorized users out of your system. It is setup first on the Access Point or Router then on the adapter for each computer that needs to connect.

You may need to supply us some more details maybe we can help you solve the issue. If you are trying to connect to a router you do not control.. you won't if they have security enabled.
