You can create a separate account and forward your email there for the time being.

Yahoo has announced that they will be providing unlimited storage for email starting in May. Of course it isn't a matter of flipping a switch as an upgrade such as this needs to be rolled out gradually across all its mail servers so it could take a bit to see it and you might see the odd hiccup while it is being implemented. Below is an article about the change in mail storage.

"The unlimited storage will begin rolling out globally in May, and Yahoo expects to have all of its customers covered within a month, except for China and Japan. "We will continue working with these markets on their storage plans," Kremer said."

Keep any unwanted mail cleaned out, Empty all Inbox you don't want and all the other spam cleaned out as well as your trash. I've been saving important emails for 5 yrs now without a problem. I have never heard of having to "buy" more memory from Yahoo.

Forwarding would be too time consuming. I think you'd have to upgrade to Mail Plus to be able to archive mail and download in .eml format, which can be imported into email programs.

You can copy them and then paste them into a word processor, such as Microsoft Word.
