the lakers are trying to rise, kobe has a lot of pull, and said they have made no progress. i'm a laker fan.

Hopefully I too am a Lakers fan... there are still alot of people who believe Jason Kidd will come over from the Nets though so we will have to wait and see, but I'm 98% sure we would not be able to get both of them would cost us alot to do.

Kevin Garnett is not a free agent this year. The Lakers will have to aquire Garnett through a trade.

They said they are targeting Maurice Williams or Steve Blake. Williams may be a long shot, but if he wants to leave a losing team, it will be his decision to make. Blake may better since the Lakers will not have to use the whole Mid-level Exception to acquire him. They can get someone like Joe Smith, who can help and bring experience to this young team for around 2M per.
