I want to know what two materials to use and how the field is set up around it. I want the charges to eventually dissipate into the air around them and not stay in the material. Would I use two non-electrically conductive materials, like plastic and something fuzzy??

Rubbing fur on amber is a classic example. It think, though, fur on many insulators, like glass or plastic, should work too. Inflated balloons rubbed on painted drywall makes the balloon stick too it.
