I used to lift the van and do it from underneath and when the motor was cold. These motors do not rock forward so don't waste your time undoing the mounts. That was for another type of a car. This is a major pain in the *** and to twist off the plug wires sometimes takes forever as the heat almost melts them to the plug. Wiggling and twisting is all you can do. Once you get the wires off, use a short wobble type of an extension to access the plugs. Good luck.

When you open the hood there is a motor mount right in the middle on the top. If removed the engine can be rocked forward giving access to rear plugs. Buy a book for your truck.

We actually put the car in the air at our shop, and use a really long extension, and wrap our arm around the front pipe to reach in and get each one. Definitely a time consumer!!
