The worst of it is, Europe and Asian countries are manufacturing cars that run on compressed air. The first ones to be used are for public transportation. We have known about this technology for many years. The cost of the first vehicles to be manufactured this year will be six to eight thousand dollars. They should be in full production by 2010-2011. Why isn't this big news?

While I realize this doesn't eliminate the need for oil, it would certainly make it a non-issue for the general public. Why are we led to believe that the only type of fuel possible would be relying on some type of fossil fuel or renewable energy when Air works? I keep posting some sites about it, but nobody even looks at them. Have people become completely brainwashed or do they just see at as too good to be true?
Or will nobody in this country manufacture it because it won't be lucrative enough.

if you want to look at corporate "excess profits", I suggest you compare the after taxes return on sales of MicroSoft to any oil company.

You'll quickly find out that your computer causes more "excess profits" than all the gas you'll ever buy.

Btw, have you calculated the likely rate of return on building a new $2 billion oil refinery in the United States lately?

It is a 50+ year project. The likely estimated rate of return would be higher to build a new nuclear power plant.

Since neither is actually being built, and hasn't been for decades, I suggest that there is more profit in cell phones, cable TV, fast food, clothing stores, big screen tvs, online games, and a host of other possible investments.

Liberals are just trying to knock some sense into the heads of the conservatives. It's not working very well though.

Because we have no representatives for the American people serving in Congress. They represent big businesses, lobbyists, and illegal immigrants.
