I am seeing that they continue after the episode left off. I was reading a recap of an episode (another question made me ask this) about Hana, the internet chick. She left Ted and Matt at the Bennett household to find the big bosses. Then the synopsis continues on about her overhearing where a child molester is going to have an webcam show and she goes to stop it.

Did I miss something? Is this something in the graphic novels? If so, what exactly do I miss from not reading them. Will they kill people off in the novels, if so, will they not return to the show?

From the little I've read Hana is killed off in the novel.

I don't think it's a must read though. Just some extra added info and/or background material you don't see in the TV series.

I'd rather read the series as a graphic novel. The TV series seems like they hold a lot back and kinda watered down when it comes to special FX, seriousness of the story content, graphic violence, etc.

Rising Stars, the Watchmen, V for Vendetta and Sin City do a much better job at telling the stories as graphic novels without skimping on the drama, FX and violence due to the censors.

Personally, I don't read the graphic novels; on my comp, it's a chore. I feel maybe a little bit out of the loop on some references or ideas, but usually in the sense that maybe I'll catch it if I watch the episode a second time around I'll get it; nothing too deep. Although with Hana the internet chick, I'm completely lost on that...I don't think the actual show mentions her at all!

It would be a disadvantage for anyone who happens to watch Heroes that does not have access to the internet (believe it or not there ARE households that DO NOT have internet access!).

I figure if it is not on the television show it did not happen, no matter what the writers and producers say.

So no I don't feel its necessary. If it is something that furthers the plot line or is very important for watchers to know they will have it on the show.
