As General Mcarthur said before the United nations, "if we are to save the flesh then we must change the spirit"
We must first recognize that the natural nature in man and I mean EVERYONE is selfish, most put themselves and thier interest in front of what is best for all.
We must change this and till we do then no leader will lead us to peace, no one.
Many will come and say they will but human history has proven otherwise, we are incapable of leading our selves.
I really think the Chinese got the closest, but even their system has flaws.
Visited many counrties is the Orient and am amzed at how it just feels different, some cultures the most important thnig is your name or reputation, this motivates some cultures and they have low crime and an overall respect for elders and authority, a much better way to live.
Best place I have ever been was to Japan, the people were freiindly and the kids were happy, was amazing.

Well, there is peace and there is peace. I suppose once the Islamic Fascists behead everyone who does not submit to their particular world view things will be pretty quiet.
You see, how you define peace is extremely important. Some define it as a lack of conflict. If that is what you think it means then all that is necessary is to surrender and submit to evil. If we accept whatever terms evil gives us there will be no conflict.
However, if you define peace as a lack of threat of evil, then you have to take a different tack. Evil will only stop if it is stopped. In a world of right and wrong, either you fight evil or evil wins. It is as simple as that.
This is why I have explored and rejected all religions and philosophies that accept the concept of "enlightenment". Every one of those beliefs will not raise a hand to oppose evil. In my philosophy that makes them part of the problem. Sir Edmond Hillary said it best, " All that is necessary for evil to prevail is for good men to do nothing."

Unfortunately, human nature has shown that we will never all be common citizens of the same world sitting around the campfire singing kum bay ya.
History has shown that only path to peace is victory.

It would be great if we all could live in peace, but as long as people label each other, continue to have such great differences in practiced religion, hate in ones own heart and material greed, that won't happen.

Aas long as there is a people who look back at events from 200 years ago to justify hate and violence, there will be no peace.
The reality is that as long as there is poverty and greed there will be war. We can not end poverty we can not end greed.
(we can treat the symptoms of poverty...we just can't end it)

I would love for all nations to live in peace!
I think the chances of that happening are greatly improved if Ron Paul is our next President.

Most of the society doesn't think like you so I can't tell you that will happen. If we continue like this we will mostly likely kill ourselves. I hope things change.
