I wonder why they have never remade the movie "The Grapes Of Wrath" is it because it can't be done?

This movie is so good and I have to watch it everytime it shows up on any of my movies on cable. I love it. It is so way back then...plus sooo like now. Wow!

they cant change perfection. this movie is so excellent, especially in the black and white, adds to the ambiance of the movie. the book is great, too, but the movie is a classic, and i dont think they could ever do it as well again.

It was remade for TV in 1991 with Gary Sinise as Tom. Too many times they ruin a movie when they remake it.
