Where else are you likely to find it?
Actually it is very simple to understand how to do this. All you need to do is stop judging things. So long as you are not judging you are happy.
The moment you start to judge things, you find something to not be happy about.
I realize that this sounds simplistic, but try it for a while and see what I mean.
Any judgment leaves you open to loose your happiness. Even judging something as wonderful does this, because it means that many other things are not quite as acceptable and what if you end up getting one of those less acceptable things?
Judgment by its very nature sets us up for unhappiness. Better not to judge at all than to take a chance gambling with your peace.

Happiness with yourself and in yourself begins with accepting yourself. You will make mistakes, and this is ok. the rest is half being that which you respect, and half absolution from what you do not respect. Be proud of what you do, fix what you have broken, Love others and be kind to children.. you can draw the picture bit by bit, but the answer is always in living it.

Happiness is the natural state of us like a clean mirror. There is no need to find it. Happiness is the state of mind. If you clean the mind of all muck and dust collected over the years you will experience true happiness. Find the answer yourself by meditating on the question "Who am I"? says Sage Ramana Maharishi. (1879-1950).

Learn to love yourself. Find a place or situation where you feel inner peace or organized chaos. Find a passion that never grows weary. Find someplace that you love to be and live out every moment of your life because you only get to live once. "It doesn't matter how many breaths you take in your life, but how many moments that take your breath away."

Happiness is not an object therefore it cannot be found. Happiness is an emotional state.
It would be equally unrealistic to look for anger, sadness or suffering.
The route to happiness is to understand how you make yourself unhappy or sad.

Try researching "self knowledge" and seeing if you can gain helpful insights. It seems reasonable that understanding oneself is a step in the right direction.
I'm reluctant to recommend many websites since some may exist for the promotion of self-help books, but one that may be worth visiting is

Good luck.

Be happy with who you are with all your goodness and shortcomings. Nobody is perfect. Flaws are what makes us different. You need only to look in a mirror and smile.
