I was unplugging my laptop. I am in Europe and the laptop is American. The adaptor slipped and the fingers on my right hand touched the metal for less than a second since I dropped it right as I made the contact with the electricity. Dropped it cuz of the shock. It felt a strong vibration in my hand and up my arm a bit.

My hand is feelin back to normal now exact that its a bit sore. I am still feeling a bit shaken up. I think I'm just very freaked out.

I just wanted to know if I should go get my self checked out by a doctor though. It was really short contact though so I'm most likely fine.

So I was just wondering if anyone has any knowledge about this I would like to hear back from people please.

I think that you are going to be fine. I get shocked so many times in a year, I have a bad habit of handling electrical appliances with wet hands. I'm still alive though.

It's actually normal for your hand to feel a little sore because the electricity actually 'shocked' your muscles. But if you feel like vomitting or have problems breathing then you should consult a doctor.
If you are really freaked out, to put your mind at ease, go to the doctor.

It seems to me that you were victim of a small arc of current. Sometimes when we unplug things they create an arc in between the connections and if your fingers where right there, then that can be dangerous, because you are a conducting medium as well, the current passes through your body until if finds a way out. But you're alive, there's nothing to worry about. But check your plug with a professional, maybe its not working properly, just make sure its safe, because even a small fraction of current can kill you by disturbing your heart.

dont worry, what u feel now after this shock is just a temporarly symptoms from ur nervous system. If u feel any kind of burns or rednes in the site of the shock u can use some cooling agents or demulcent ,soothing creams otherwise u will feel well as soon as u relax .

depending on the strength of the jolt you recieved, you might get some light bruising in a day or two, but you should be fine. It would take a much larger and longer jolt to actually do serious harm to yourself.
