You should be more concerned about who controls the media.
People in each country think what they see on TV is fact.
Just cross the border into Canada and see how the news changes.
News in the USA is maybe not controlled by the government, but it steered by "people" who say "its not in the best interests of the country to know these things"
The Australian just released from Cuba has a gag order not to speak to the media, why?
Freedom in America means all the information we allow.
As an example have you ever heard an on air radio person who was not a supporter of Israel?, they don't exist, amazing!

Have you ever heard of "Freedom of the Press", or "Power of the Press? This is what bought Nixon down and force him to resign. The Government is afraid of the media because given the chance the media will expose all the dirty deeds of the politicians.

deffinatley how many people can understand politics and how many read the paper magazines,watch tv i think everyone takes notice of the media and there is less understanding about the government i mean its boring to watch them in parliament and most people cant understand what theyre ravin on about.the majority of people through the madia and looking at the state of this country and you can understand why media is more powerful.

Not if they're jsut a mouthpiece for the government as the media has been with Bush/GOP...than they are just powerless puppets....but they can move mountains if they take a mind to. They nearly destroyed Clinton over a friggin *******.

If they were, they'd probably exempt themselves from income taxes and a lot of other things Congress does.
They have to settle for being smarter and more righteous than the rest of us.
